Time to start pulling things together, so what have we got, hmmm.

A great interest in the logo of the Beacon from the pupils at King Alfred's plus a desire to address what The Beacon does from contributors to the notice board, and of course what a Beacon is, a source of light, of celebration. So we have idea number one:

Another continuing thread is nature, especially The Ridgeway, and the need to break up the tarmac and concrete of the car park, some of the pupils include trees within their ideas, idea number two:

And then we have transport and technology, Wantage tramway was the first steam tramway to ever run in the UK, taken out of service soon after the end of the 2nd World War. Williams Formula one have their head office in Grove, Wantage. Williams F1 is one of the world's leading Formula One teams, in fact the Williams name has been synonymous with top-level motor racing since the 1960's. Idea number three:
